Bagels Etc.: A Bagel Haven in Washington, DC

The bagels here are very good and the service is so quick! There’s a large variety and they sell them by the bag as well. The ladies who work here are also very nice. The coffee is pretty good. However, I’ve noticed that the person who handles the cash (it’s a cash-only store) is also the one who grabs the bagels. While she wears gloves, she uses the same pair for both touching cash and bagels. This doesn’t seem hygienic to me, especially since there are usually many customers. I thought it was a one-off thing, but recently I’ve noticed it happening every time I order a bagel. This alone has me questioning if I’ll keep going here.

Yummy bagels! The Salmon Lox was sooooo good. The line moves, so definitely wait to get your hands on one of these bagels (10-12min). Also, cash only! I would grab a bagel from here in the future for sure!

Very lovely and local store. It’s cash only so we got some cash from a in-store atm. We ordered a jalapeño cheese bagel with BLT, which is 10/10 the cheese is amazing and the bacon is really crunchy highly recommend! However, we found the strawberry cheese is really disappointing. The picture on the website had a large difference with what I got

Service is extremely fast given how the line wraps back and around the entire inner dining area. The food is pretty good too: the eggs were fried well, the hash brown was crispy, and the bagel was a nice and chewy and an alright size. Overall a pretty decent bagel place given its selection of options, speed of service, and taste. Note that it’s cash only, but they have an ATM you can use.

This place has quickly become my go to spot for bagels. It’s a small, hole in the wall kind of place, but those are usually the best finds. I haven’t tried many small businesses that sell bagels, but so far this one has impressed me. My favorite to order is the jalapeño cheese bagel with steak, egg and cheese. The jalapeño has a great quick to it. I also love that the bacon is always crispy, exactly how I like it not chewy at all. A heads up, it is a cash only, but there is an ATM inside. If you’re looking for fresh, delicious bagels, this spot is definitely worth a try.

The bagels were absolutely outstanding. They were a warm and tasty. They have some unusual cream cheese fillings for the bagels. I had the walnut and honey cream cheese that was addicting because it was so good. Their cappuccino is as good as it gets. It was absolutely perfect with a lot of foam and they have cinnamon to top it off. My only complaint is that there is always a line there, however the staff there is very fast and efficient.

I came in January 2025! I have to come back! Tried to go. Was good not great. I know it’s better fresh eaten there. Ordered turkey bacon egg n cheese, eggs a lil plasticy n cheese was a little cold also ordered a Ruben. Ruben very tasty and filling. Service was fantastic for how early it was. CASH ONLY SON!

Simply amazing. Food is great. There are a large variety of local made bagels and topping. For those from an operation field, this place is a class itself. The family shows how operations should be. Fast and quality service with a superb product.
